Description
Galerie H is a boutique located at Rue St-Victor 21, 1227 Carouge, Geneva in Switzerland. It is managed by the designer Valérie Hangel.
General terms and conditions
The gallery’s website offers on-line sales of Valérie Hangel silk jewellery and accessories as well as ceramics and artisanal goods, limited editions, small production runs and unique items.
Stock and availability
All of the products which feature on this website are available with the exception of items of jewellery in the “Archives” section which have already been sold.
In rare cases, notification errors may occur, in particular in the event of simultaneous orders. If an order is placed for an object that is no longer available, we will contact the customer within five days to inform them and offer them a reimbursement.
Refusal of sale
Galerie H reserves the right to refuse a sale or to cancel an order from anyone without the obligation to provide a reason.
Prices
The vendor reserves the right to modify their prices at any time, whilst of course specifying that the price which features on the product on the day of the order shall be the only one applicable to the purchaser. Prices are shown in CHF (Swiss francs). For orders from outside Switzerland, customs duties or other local taxes, import levies or state taxes may be required to be paid by the purchaser (these rights are not the responsibility of Galerie H). We would advise you to seek information on these requirements from your local authorities.
Delivery and other fees
- Shipping fees are calculated automatically at the final stage of your on-line purchase.
- For purchases being sent outside Switzerland and the EU, shipping costs are calculated exclusive of duty and any other local taxes (see the price section).
Delivery times will be sent separately by e-mail to the client. You will then receive a code by e-mail to track your parcel. All packages are sent via Swiss Post and are recorded, requiring a signature on delivery to ensure the utmost security.
Payment
Upon receipt by pro forma invoice.
The following methods of payment are available:

Orders are only considered valid once payment has been received.
Confirmation
When you click “confirm” after your payment has been verified, you are committing to placing your order and accepting these terms and conditions of sale in their entirety. Orders will generate an e-mail confirmation.
Quality and description of the products
The description, technical data and price of the products may be modified at any time. The technical data provided with the order shall apply.
Photographs will be as representative as possible.
Valérie Hangel textile creations are crafted using antique silks and should be worn with care and attention. It is advised that you store your jewelry in its original box or clutch bag.
The objects presented are made either by artisanal or semi-industrial production, meaning that there can be slight differences from one object to another. As such, slight differences which may be noticeable cannot be considered as faults or form the basis of a complaint.
Complaints / returns policy
As a rule, there is no way of returning any goods unless there has been an error with the order or the item is faulty (see below).
Faulty or non-compliant articles
Upon receipt of the goods, you are required to check the contents of the package. If the object has been damaged during transport or the article is not compliant (i.e. the item does not correspond to your order), Please inform us by sending an e-mail to valeriehangel@bluewin.chno later than three days after you receive the package, and we will offer you an amicable solution. Once that timeframe has elapsed, no complaints will be considered.
Gift certificates
Payment for gift certificates is to be done via postal or bank transfer. We will dispatch the voucher to the person named on the form that you will have filled in beforehand. The voucher is to be used at the boutique at Rue Saint-Victor 21 in Carouge. If the holder chooses an object that is less than the amount of the voucher, the difference will be held for them as credit to be used at a later date. No reimbursements are possible. Valid for one year from date of purchase.
Confidentiality policy
Your personal data shall remain strictly confidential and will only be used for the purposes of an on-line purchase from Galerie H. For the distribution of newsletters, we will ask for your authorisation to send you regular news about Galerie H. Our newsletters are sent directly via our website and your data will be stored in our internal database (with no external service-providers involved). You will be able to unsubscribe at any moment by clicking on the button at the bottom of the newsletter (unsubscribe / se désabonner).
Disputes and jurisdiction
In the event of a dispute, the client should first contact “Galerie H” in order to pursue an amicable solution.
Should it not be possible to come to an amicable solution, the jurisdiction shall be Geneva / Switzerland.
